Here at Barnwell Cottage we know how important a holiday with the whole family is, including our beloved canine companions. Cornwall is famous for being doggy-friendly, not only on beaches but in shops, cafes, pubs and hotels, Newquay even has its own dedicated doggy-themed Pizzeria, aptly title Wet-Dog Pizza where owners can share a pizza and beer with their prime pooches.
Once you arrive for your stay Barnwell, there are endless walks on offer and traditional dog-friendly pubs scattered throughout the village and beyond, we are so central to many beach or woodland walks that our guests often don't step foot in their car till it's time to leave, quite a luxury in itself!
Between the 1st of October and May the seasonal dog ban on some of the beaches is lifted and seaside adventures can be unearthed wherever takes your fancy. The South West Coast Path boasts a network of dog-friendly footpaths along the shoreline making the perfect route to discover an isolated bay to take a refreshing doggy paddle in the ocean.
